Identity Theft is a very serious and growing problem.
Personal financial and sensitive information can be lost two primary ways over the web.
During Transmission:
Do not send unencrypted credit card or sensitive personal information. Only use secure sites. Look in your browser on the left side. When you are on a page asking for personal sensitive information or credit card information you should see "https:" The "s" stands for "secure."
Who You Send The Information To:
We recommend providing as little personal information over the internet as necessary, and to as few entities as reasonably possible. This reduces the risk of your information being stolen or transferred without your knowledge.
For your convenience, we provide you FRAUD ALERT letters you may send to the credit reporting agencies. You may send these letters if you feel you are at risk of Identity Theft.
